stuntman and actor Stan Barrett (b.1943) has appeared in films and television
series for over fifty years. On December 17, 1979, Barrett attempted to
break the Land Speed Record and the Sound Barrier in a 3-wheel Budweiser
rocket. He reportedly reached a speed of 739.666 miles per hour;
however the speed was never officially recorded. After he gained notoriety for
the attempt, Barrett took his driving shills to NASCAR, recording two top
ten finishes in Winston Cup events. As an actor, he had several small roles
including an appearance in the 1969 Star Trek episode "All Our
Yesterdays". Fine condition.
