STAN MUSIAL and RYAN HOWARD 16x20 photograph of the two left-handed #6 players from Musial's personal collection. Accompanied by provenance from the Musial family Photograph signed: "Stan Musial" and "Ryan Howard" in blue felt tip. Color, 16x20. Accompanied by an original letter of provenance from a member of Stan Musial's family, taken from a large collection of items. The St. Louis Cardinals' STAN MUSIAL (1920-2013) hit at least .300 for sixteen consecutive years. At his retirement after the 1963 season, the three-time Most Valuable Player held the National League record for most runs, hits, doubles, and RBIs. Musial appeared in 24 All-Star games, won seven batting titles, and had a lifetime batting average of .331. He was nicknamed "The Man" by admiring Brooklyn Dodgers' fans. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1969. RYAN HOWARD (b.1979) has played his entire Major League career to date (2004-2016) with the Philadelphia Phillies, including the team's World Series victory in 2008 (over Tampa Bay) and its 2009 NL Pennant. Howard was the NL Rookie of the Year in 2005, and the Most Valuable Player in 2006. He was the quickest player ever to reach 100 home runs (in his 325th game, 2007). His All-Star appearance in 2006 was the first of several. Not an outstanding first baseman, Howard's potent bat more than compensates for any defensive weaknesses. Fine condition.
