STAN MUSIAL, EDDIE MATHEWS, and BOB FELLER
An 11x14 print of the three Hall of Famers, with each signing beside their respective images. Accompanied by provenance from a member of the Musial family
Printed Art signed: "Stan Musial", "Eddie Matthews", "Bob Feller", in blue felt tip, 11x14. Part of a large family collection, this photo is accompanied by a letter of provenance from a member of Stan Musial's family. The St. Louis Cardinals' STAN MUSIAL (1920-2013) hit at least .300 for sixteen consecutive years. At his retirement after the 1963 season, the three-time Most Valuable Player held the National League record for most runs, hits, doubles, and RBIs. Musial appeared in 24 All-Star games, won seven batting titles, and had a lifetime batting average of .331. He was nicknamed "The Man" by admiring Brooklyn Dodgers' fans. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1969. In 1953, EDDIE MATHEWS (1931-2001), the future member of the 500 HR Club, hit 47 homers for the Milwaukee Braves, establishing a single-season record for third basemen (since broken by Mike Schmidt) as he won the National League home run title. Mathews was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1978. The most winning pitcher in Cleveland Indians history, in 1962 BOB FELLER (1918-2010) became the first pitcher since charter member Walter Johnson to be elected to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Though regarded as the fastest pitcher of his day, he himself attributed his strikeout records to his curve and slider. Feller set a Major League record with 208 walks and led the AL in both strikeouts and wins from 1939 to 1941. He was voted All-Star in 1938-41, 1946-48 and in 1950. Fine condition.
