Signature of the comic musician, known for his "Hornchestra" and

Signature: "Stanelli", 1¾x2. Stanelli was the stage
name of Anglo-Irish musical prodigy Edward Stanley de Groot (1896-1961),
a talented violinist and composer who specialized in musical humor. His
BBC radio programs of the 1930's included Stanelli's Stag Party
and Stanelli's Crazy Cruise. He was also featured on many British
Pathé film shorts. Stanelli's compositions included an "Unfurnished
Symphony". His instruments included a Hornchestra, composed of a collection
of automobile horns; and a violin with a specially modified bow playing both
sides of the instrument and made to sign like a church organ. Lightly soiled.
