Magazine Photograph signed: "Good Luck/Stanley Lupino/1930". B/w image with a color background, 7¾x10. Actor and dancer, writer and producer Stanley Lupino (1893-1942) was an acrobat before debuting on London stages in pantomimes (1920). Soon he reached stardom in musicals like the hit Sporting Love (1934). He also wrote and starred in his own plays (So This is Love, 1929), a pattern he repeated in films of the 1930s. He was also heard frequently on the BBC, and wrote an autobiography, From the Stocks to the Stars (1934). Lupino's illustrious acting family included his daughter, Ida Lupino. One horizontal fold. Lightly creased. Lightly worn. Signature in poor contrast (still legible). Otherwise, fine condition.
