WILLIAM SHATNER (b. 1931) is an American actor. Star Trek (1966-1969) was the first of his three successful television series. He then starred in a police drama, T. J. Hooker (1982-1987) and hosted the medical reality series Rescue 911 (1989-1995). He reprised the role of Captain Kirk of the Federation Starship Enterprise, first as the voice in an animated series (1973), and thereafter in seven feature films (1979-1994). Other acting credits include Judgment at Nuremberg (1961), Miss Congeniality (2000) and one of the most popular episodes of the original Twilight Zone: "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet." Canadian-born actor JAMES DOOHAN (b. 1920) is best known for playing Lieutenant Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott in the Star Trek TV series and feature films. Doohan won his audition for the part by reading in a heavy Scottish brogue, and his character was named in his honor (Montgomery is his middle name). Doohan appeared in the original series (1966-1969) and in seven of the feature films: He also appeared as Scotty on a TV spin-off, Star Trek: The Next Generation (1992) Doohan additionally appeared in a long list of TV shows and feature films. Actor WALTER KOENIG (b. 1936) is best known for playing Ensign Pavel Chekhov on the Star Trek TV series (from 1967) and all of the Star Trek feature films (1979, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1989 and 1991). Koenig, who made his feature film debut in 1963 in Strange Lovers, appeared several TV series, including Combat!, Mr. Novak, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Ben Casey and I Spy, before beginning the role that would essentially typecast him in science fiction roles. Koenig later appeared in Babylon 5 (1994-1998), wrote an episode of the animated Star Trek series and appeared in occasional movies. Toned. Small ink stain on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
