STEELYARD BLUES MOVIE CAST: JANE FONDA, DONALD SUTHERLAND, PETER BOYLE, JOHN SAVAGE, ALAN MYERSON, MICHAEL PHILLIPS, DAVID A. WARD, HAROLD SCHNEIDER, ANNA TAIT
This meal allowance form is from the 1972 shooting of the comedy Steelyard Blues. The document is signed by all the stars of the film as well as many of the key production professionals behind the film's cameras.
Document signed "Alan Myerson", twice by "Michael Phillips" (one of these for co-producer and then-wife Julia Phillips), "Jane Fonda", "Donald Sutherland", twice by "Peter Boyle", twice by "John Savage", "David A. Ward", "Harold Schneider" and "Anna Tait". 1 page, 13¼x8½. Meal Allowance form for the week of June 6 to 12, 1971, with several extra notations for the week of May 30 to June 5, 1971, with a total of $798 in meals noted. This form was signed during the shooting of Steelyard Blues (1973). This form is signed by three of the leads (Fonda, Sutherland and Boyle) and Savage, who was an important member of the supporting cast. It's also signed by director Myerson, co-producer Phillips and writer Ward, as well as two other members of the cast (associate producer Schneider and location auditor Tait). This film was a sometimes-bizarre caper comedy in which Sutherland, an ex-con whose life's goal is to destroy every model of American car made between 1940 and 1960 in demolition derbies, and Fonda, his call-girl friend, try to get parts to rebuild a PBY flying boat. Naturally enough, their antics are an embarrassment to Sutherland's brother Savage, who just happens to be the District Attorney. Numerous notations in black ink in unknown hand. Lightly toned, stained and creased. Manuscript writing, but not signatures, is lightly smeared in places, but legible. Folded once and unfolded. Otherwise, fine condition.
