Prolific horror writer Stephen King (b. 1947) burst onto the scene with his book Carrie (1974), which, like many of his other works, was adapted for the big screen. His other works include Salem's Lot (1975), The Shining (1977), Cujo (1981), Pet Sematary (1983), Misery (1987), The Green Mile (1996), and 11/22/63 (2011). All of those novels have been turned into screen productions, and he has written dozens of other books and short stories. One of his most famous publication is the 1986 work It, which was turned into a 3-hour mini-series. Starring Tim Curry as a horrifying clown, the mini-series won an Emmy Award. Another great book and film adaptation pairing is The Shawshank Redemption (1982 and 1994 respectively). The film starred Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, and received seven Oscar nominations. King is an avid baseball fan and can often be seen at Boston's Fenway Park. Fine condition.
