STEPHEN KING
Stephen King signs a typescript from his novel Salem's Lot.
Typescript signed: "Stephen King", 1p, 5¾x7¾. Excerpt from his novel Salem's Lot (1993). In full: "For a moment she was frightened, and then there was no more fear. There was knowing instead. With the knowing came the hunger. She glanced into the mirror and saw only her bedroom reflected, empty and still. The attic door was locked and the key was in the bottom drawer of the dresser, but it didn't matter. No need for keys now. They slipped between the door an the jamb like shades." Prolific horror writer Stephen King (born in 1947) burst onto the scene with Carrie (1974), which, like many of his other works, was adapted for the big screen. His other books include 'Salem's Lot (1975), The Shining (1977), Cujo (1981), Pet Sematary (1983), Misery (1987), The Tommy Knockers (1988), Dolores Claiborne (1993), The Green Mile (1996) and Dreamcatcher (2000), and King has also written acclaimed short stories as well as novels under the pen name of Richard Bachman. Parchment-like paper is wrinkled in corners. Fine condition.
