The "Miracle On Ice" Olympian signed this black and white 6¼x4¾ photograph of him on
the ice for the North Stars
Newspaper Photograph Signed: "Steve/ Christoff”. 6¼x4¾. Actual image 6x4½ adhered to a
piece of cardstock (two surfaces). B/w. Steve Christoff (b. 1958) is an NHL center who
played 5 seasons with the Minnesota North Stars, Calgary Flames, and the Los Angeles
Kings between 1979 and 1984. Drafted in the 2nd round of the 1978 NHL Amateur
Draft, Christoff also played with the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team. This team famously
defeated the highly favored Soviets in the “Miracle on Ice” match, one of the most iconic
sports events in United States history. The team went on to win the Gold medal. He
retired from the NHL league in 1984, posting a record of 77 goals and 64 assists in 248
games. Toned. Note on verso in unknown hand. Stains on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
