Photograph, unsigned. B/w, 3¾x4¾. Reproduced on paper. Name written (unknown hand) at upper margin. Stage, screen and television actor Steve Cochran (1917-1965), born Robert Alexander Cochran, was involved in theatrical productions before making his film debut in 1945 in Wonder Man, which starred Virginia Mayo, his co-star in six films. Signed to Warner Bros. from 1949-1952, Cochran then started his own film production company, later writing, producing, directing and starring in Tell Me in the Sunlight (1965). Cochran's film credits include Copacabana, White Heat (1949), Storm Warning (1951), Jim Thorpe - All American (1951), Quantrill's Raiders (1958), The Beat Generation (1959) and Mozambique (1965). After making his television debut in 1949 (NBC Presents), he appeared on a number of TV anthologies, from Lux Video Theatre (1953) to Letter to Loretta (1959), and Cochran was a guest star on several TV series, including The Twilight Zone (1959), Naked City (1960), The Untouchables (1960-1961), The Virginian (1962), Route 66 (1963) and Burke's Law (1964-1965). Slightly creased at blank corners. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Fine condition.
