The Seattle Seahawks Hall of Fame wide receiver signs a contract agreeing to license the rights to use his image in a calendar for a payment of $200.00.
Printed Contract signed: "Steve Largent", 2 pages, 8½x11. Fenton, Missouri, 1987 June 1. "Calendar License Agreement" between Largent, the licensor, and Sportsman, Inc., the Licensee, granting the licensee the right to manufacture, sell and distribute a calendar. The 12 participants in the calendar will each receive $200. Only signed by Largent, not the Licensee. Steve Largent was born on September 28, 1954 in Tulsa Oklahoma. He is a Pro Football Hall of Famer and former U.S. Congressman. An All-American at the University of Tulsa, he was drafted as the 117th overall pick by the Houston Oilers in the 1976 NFL Draft. A wide receiver, he was cut by the Oilers and traded to the Seattle Seahawks, the team Largent would play for during his entire 14 season career. While playing for the Seahawks he amassed 13,089 receiving yards, 100 touchdowns and averaged 65.4 yards per game. Largent was selected for seven Pro-Bowl appearances, and in 1988 he won both the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award and Bart Starr Man of the Year Award. He was inducted into the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor and his jersey number 80 has been retired by the team. In 1995 the wide receiver was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He served as a Republican Congressman from Oklahoma from 1994-2002, and ran unsuccessfully for Governor of Oklahoma in 2002. Staple holes at upper left. Creased at upper corners.
