Singer and actor Steve Lawrence (b.1935), who began recording when he was 16 years of age, had a No. 1 hit in 1963 with "Go Away, Little Girl" and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 1964 for his performance in What Makes Sammy Run? His television credits include two of his own series, The Steve Lawrence-Eydie Gormé Show (1958) and The Steve Lawrence Show (1965), frequent performances in skits on The Carol Burnett Show, guest hosting The Tonight Show (1962) and guest appearances on TV variety shows, games shows and series. Lawrence has also been seen in several feature films, including The Blues Brothers (1980), The Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) and Ocean's 11 (2001). He has been married to singer Eydie Gormé since December 29, 1957. The couple, who met while Steve was a regular on Steve Allen's Tonight! Show, has appeared together in nightclubs and on television.
