STEVE MARTIN
A comical 6x4 photograph of the actor wearing a fake nose and balloon hat with cigarette in hand
Photograph signed: "Steve Martin", in black felt tip, B/w 6x4. Actor, comedian, writer, playwright and producer STEVE MARTIN (b. 1946) went into standup comedy full-time in the late 1960s. His big break came when he was guest host on NBC's Saturday Night Live in 1977. His offbeat and irreverent humor made him an instant celebrity. Martin carefully developed his persona: the well-groomed, immaculately dressed young man who goes against his appearance by behaving like a lunatic. He released four comedy albums between 1977 and 1981, winning Grammy awards for Let's Get Small and A Wild and Crazy Guy. He also received a gold record for his hit comedy song King Tut. Martin wrote his first book, Cruel Shoes, in 1977. His films include The Jerk (1979), Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (1982), All of Me (1984), Roxanne (1987), Parenthood (1989) and Father of the Bride (1991). The banjo-strumming Martin performed at the Grand Ole Opry in 2009, and won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album in 2010. Image pixelated from resizing. Fine condition.
