Trading card signed by Lyons in black felt tip, adding his nickname of "Psycho"
Trading/sports card signed: "Steve Lyons/Psycho", in black felt tip, 2½x3½. Steve Lyons (b. 1960), nicknamed "Pyscho" for his colorful personality, made his major league debut in 1985, beginning an eight year career in the majors that saw him play with the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Atlanta Braves, and Montreal Expos. A player with an average career, Lyons is better remembered for his eccentricities and his accidental mooning of the crowd in 1990 White Sox game, with Lyons pulling down his pants to remove dirt from them, forgetting he was in front of a crowd of 14,000 people. Lyons retired to a career as a sports broadcaster, which went well until falling under criticism for several ethnically insensitive comments made while broadcasting, though most fans and friends claimed they were taken out of context or simply taken too seriously. Until 2013, he worked as a commentator for the LA Dodgers. Corners slightly worn. Fine condition.
