STEVEN SEAGAL
Shown in buckskin, with a "no-nonsense" look on his face, inscribed to FBI Special Agent in Charge Ted Gunderson
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To/Ted/best/Steven/Seagal". B/w, 8x10. STEVEN SEAGAL, born in Lansing, Michigan in 1951, spent many years in Asia studying Buddhism and the martial arts and believes himself to be the reincarnation of a Tibetan lama. His years in Asia are somewhat mysterious, but he certainly worked for Tibetan independence from China and has hinted at connections with the CIA. Seagal's films typically combine nonstop action with environmental, social and spiritual concerns. Popular examples include his biggest hit, Under Siege (1994), and Executive Decision (1996). In 1999 he produced a very different film, The Prince of Central Park, a gentle story of a runaway boy. The inscription is to Ted Gunderson (1928-2011), former Special Agent in Charge of the Memphis, Dallas and Los Angeles offices of the FBI After his retirement from the Bureau, Gunderson founded his own investigative service, and proposed highly controversial conspiracy theories regarding the JFK assassination, 9/11, Waco, the Oklahoma City bombing, CIA "mind control" projects, Satanism, and the poisoning of America by clandestine aircraft. Ink smeared at right edge. Signature lightly smeared but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
