The most commercially successful filmmaker in Hollywood history, STEVEN SPIELBERG (born in 1946) is lifelong cinema buff who began directing his first short movies while still a child. He won Academy Awards for Best Director for Schindler's List (1994) and Saving Private Ryan (1999), and Spielberg was nominated for the Best Director Oscar for Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982). His long list of feature films includes Jaws (1975), The Blues Brothers (1980), The Color Purple (1985), Back to the Future (1985), Cape Fear (1991), Hook (1991), Jurassic Park (1993), Twister (1996), Men in Black (1997), Amistad (1997), The Mask of Zorro (1998), A.I.: Artificial Intelligence (2001), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Minority Report (2002), The Terminal (2004), War of the Worlds (2005) and Munich (2005), and Spielberg has produced or executive produced a long list of other films and TV miniseries. He has also written for films and appeared on the big screen as both an extra and as himself. Multitalented actor, writer and director DENNIS HOPPER (born in 1936) has been nominated for Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay (for Easy Rider, 1969) and for Best Supporting Actor (for Hoosiers, 1986). Hopper, who made his film debut in 1954's Johnny Guitar, has since starred in a long list of feature films, including Rebel Without a Cause (1955), Giant (1956), The Sons of Katie Elder (1965), Cool Hand Luke (1967), Hang 'em High (1968), Easy Rider (1969), True Grit (1969), Apocalypse Now (1979), Rumble Fish (1983), Blue Velvet (1986), Speed (1994), EDtv (1999) and Out of Season (2004). He has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV movies and guest starred on several TV series, including a recurring role as Victor on 24 (2002). Hopper, whose directing credits include Easy Rider, The Last Movie (1971), Out of the Blue (1980), Colors (1988), Catchfire (1990), The Hot Spot (1990) and Chasers (1994), has been married to actresses Brooke Hayward (1961-1969), Michelle Phillips (eight days in 1970), Daria Halprin (1972-1976), Katherine La Nasa (1989-1992) and Victoria Duffy (1996-present). Screen and television actress CATHY MORIARTY (born in 1960) was nominated for the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and the Golden Globe for New Star of the Year - Female for her role as Vickie Thailer La Motta in the 1980 film, Raging Bull. Her other film credits include Kindergarten Cop (1990), Soapdish (1991), Casper (1995), P.U.N.K.S. (1999), Prince of Central Park (2000) and Analyze That (2002). Her best known TV role was as Alice Clayton on Bless This House (1995), but Moriarty, who is sometimes billed as Cathy Moriarty-Gentile, has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV movies and has guest starred on series including Tales from the Crypt (1992), Law & Order (2001) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2005). Also a businesswoman, she co-owns Mulberry Street Pizza (three locations in the Los Angeles area) with Richard Palmer, an ex-boyfriend who married Raquel Welch in 1999. Film and television actress AMY LOCANE (born in 1971) made her acting debut in an episode of TV's Spencer (1984), and she went on to guest star in several TV shows, including a recurring role as Sandy Louise Harling (1992) on Melrose Place. Locane, who has also appeared in several made-for-TV movies, made her film debut in Lost Angels in 1989. Her other film credits include Airheads (1994), Legend of the Mummy (1997), The Heist (1999) and Throttle (2005). Locane co-starred with Hopper in the 1996 film, Carried Away.
