The Washington Editor of "The Saturday Evening Posts" thanks a correspondent for her "interesting and thoughtful letter".

Manning, Washington, D.C. In full: "Thank you for your interesting and thoughtful letter. It gave me pleasure. Yours sincerely". Journalist and political analyst Stewart Alsop (1914-1974) wrote a regular column for "The Saturday Evening Post" from 1958-1968 before going on to write a weekly column for "Newsweek" from 1968-1974. A veteran of WWII, Alsop had previously co-written, with his brother, Joseph, the "Matter of Fact" column for the "New York Herald Tribune".
