The Playgoer show bill for Strictly Dishonorable performed at the Geary Theatre in 1950. A Broadway actor from 1927 and film performer from 1933, CESAR ROMERO (1907-1994) often played comic second leads. He has reported that that his favorite movie role was that of Cortez in The Captain from Castille (1947). A few of his TV roles included "The Joker" on Batman (1966-1968) and Peter Stavros, the character who married Jane Wyman's Angela Channing on Falcon Crest (1985-1988). MARILYN ERSKINE (b. 1926) began performing on the radio at the tender age of three. She was later featured as one of the children on the CBS radio show Let's Pretend. Erskine transitioned to the stage during her teen years, appearing in no fewer than nine Broadway productions such as The Ghost of Yankee Doodle (1937-1938), Goodbye in the Night (1940), and Pretty Little Parlor (1944) to name just a few. Beginning in the 1950s, Erskine appeared in a fair number of films including Westward the Women (1951), Just This Once (1952), and Confidentially Connie (1953). Moreover, she was a common presence on anthology drama series, and during the later part of her career she was seen on many crime dramas and Westerns. Lightly toned. Left edge (including corner) irregular from being cut from show bill. ½-inch tear at center of right edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
