On official letterhead to Danny Franklin, Phoenix, Arizona. In full: "I received your letter of August 16, 1972, and wish to thank you for your words of encouragement and remarks about the Northwest Territories. Enclosed, please find an autographed decal which is the fulfillment of your request. Also I have enclosed a copy of our most recent publication called 'Arctic in Colour'. [Items not included.] You will see from the content that this is a picturesque publication designed to attract southerners to learn more about and to visit this part of the country. I am sorry to hear that your holiday ended so suddenly. I am sure you consider yourself very lucky as you indicated you walked away from the accident without any injury. In closing, may I extend to you best wishes for good health and much success. Yours sincerely". Stuart M. Hodgson was Commissioner of Canada's Northwest Territory (1967-1979).
