I am however at the Guthrie doing Peter Sellars Hang on to Me. I am so happy to be filling the darling appointment book you sent at Christmas with work in wonderful places. Christmas and New Years was in Boston with Cyrano and now the Guthrie (a dream come true) and summer at Stockbridge. And you are a dream come true! Love, ". Actress Susan Browning (1941-2006) performed on Broadway for 30 years, beginning with a role in Love and Kisses (1963). Her most notable roles were in Company (1971) and Goodtime Charley, with both being nominated for Tony Awards and one winning a Theatre World Award. She also appeared in a small number of screen roles, including parts in Sister Act (1992) and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993). John A. Willis (1916-2010), active in Theatre World from the beginning, became its chief editor in 1965, holding that position until 2008. Willis is regarded as one of the foremost theatre and film historians of the 20th century. While producing (and presenting) the annual Theatre World Awards, Willis also served on the nominating committee for the Tony Awards. Theatre World, which received its own Tony for Excellence in Theatre in 2001, continues under chief editor Ben Hodges. Normal mailing folds. Light surface creases. Fine condition.
