Magazine photograph signed "Susan Saint/James". Saint James
added a smiley face under her name. Green-toned b/w, 4½x6¾. With no previous
acting experience, Saint James, born Susan Jane Miller in 1946 in Los
Angeles,was given a co-starring assignment in Universal's made-for-TV
Fame is the Name of the Game (1966). She would continue as Peggy in
the subsequent TV series Name of the Game (1968-1971) which earned her an
Emmy. During this time she also had a recurring role as kooky lady jewel
robber Chuck Brown on the TV weekly It Takes a Thief. Saint James
achieved worldwide popularity as Sally McMillan on the TV detective series
McMillan and Wife (1971-1977). In 1984-1989, she co-starred with Jane
Curtin in the single-mom sitcom Kate and Allie. Her best film appearance
was as the constitutionally sloppy lady love of vampire George Hamilton in
Love at First Bite (1979). Edges are irregular. Otherwise in fine
condition.
