Inscribed 5x7 sepia image of the actress. The extremely rare signature from an actress dead at age 21.
Inscribed photograph signed: "Thank you,/Sharon/Suzan Ball". Sepia, 5x7. Suzan Ball (1934-1955), a second cousin of Lucille Ball embarked on a promising film career with supporting roles in several adventure films from 1952 to 1955 (Yankee Buccanneer, War Arrow, Chief Crazy Horse). Diagnosed with cancer in 1953, she lost a leg to amputation, but married actor Richard Long and resumed her career. She succumbed to her illness at age 21. A vocalist with Mel Baker's orchestra before going to Hollywood, the intrepid Ball embarked on a nightclub tour shortly before her death. Lightly bowed. Adhesive residue on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
