A signature to a fan, signed with "best wishes"
Autograph note signed: "To Frank/Best
wishes/Suzanne/Pleshette", in blue ink, 5x3. Attached is an unsigned
clipping of the actress' image. After some TV experience, Suzanne
Pleshette (1937-2008, born in New York City) made her film debut in Jerry
Lewis' The Geisha Boy (1958), then went on to replace Ann Bancroft as
star of Broadway's The Miracle Worker in 1961. She is perhaps best
known for her portrayal of Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show
(1972-1978). Pleshette later starred in several short-lived TV series, including
Maggie Briggs (1984), Bridges to Cross (1986), and The Boys Are
Back (1994), and has also been a ubiquitous presence in such made-for-TV
movies as Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean (1990). Anime fans may
know her as the voices of the witches Yubaba and Zeniba from the English-dubbed
release of Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away (2001). Corners lightly worn.
Lightly toned. Ink note (unknown hand). Otherwise, fine
condition.
