Photograph signed: "Robert Wagner" in black ink "Eddie Albert" in blue ink and "Sharon/
Gless" in purple ink, color, 8x10. ROBERT WAGNER (b. 1930) played romantic leads with
ease, but it wasn't until he essayed the two-scene role of a shell-shocked war veteran in With a
Song in My Heart (1952) that studio executives recognized his potential as a dramatic actor.
He went on to play the title roles in Prince Valiant (1954) and The True Story of Jesse
James (1956), and shocked his bobby-soxer fan following by effectively portraying a
cold-blooded murderer in A Kiss Before Dying (1955). After a two-year hiatus, Wagner
made a comeback as star of the lighthearted TV espionage series It Takes a Thief (1968-1970).
For the rest of his career, Wagner would enjoy his greatest success on TV, first in the
mid-'70s series Switch, then opposite Stefanie Powers in the internationally popular Hart
to Hart, which ran from 1979 through 1983. Perhaps best known for his role as city slicker
turned farmer Oliver Douglas on TV's Green Acres (1965-1971), EDDIE ALBERT
(1906-2005) made his movie debut in Brother Rat in 1938; his costars included Ronald
Reagan and Jane Wyman. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor Academy Awards in 1953
(Roman Holiday) and 1972 (The Heartbreak Kid), Albert's feature films include You're in
the Navy Now (1951), Oklahoma! (1955),The Teahouse of the August Moon (1956), The
Sun Also Rises (1957), The Longest Day (1962), The Longest Yard (1974), Escape to Witch
Mountain (1975), Airport '79 and Yes, Georgio (1982). SHARON GLESS (b. 1943)
solidified herself as a bankable name in 1982 when she replaced Meg Foster as NYPD
officer Chris Cagney on the detective series Cagney and Lacey. She remained in this role
until the series' cancellation in 1988, winning two Emmy awards along the way, and then
reprised the part (with her co-star Tyne Daly) in a well-received 1995 TV movie. Another of
Gless's TV-series gigs was as the public-defender heroine of The Trials of Rosie O'Neill
(1990-1992). More recently, she played the concerned, yet proud mother of Michael
Novotny, Hal Sparks' character in Queer as Folk (2000-2005) and Michael's mother,
Madeline Westin, on Burn Notice (2007-2013). Lightly toned. Corners gently worn.
Otherwise, fine condition.
