The accomplished Irish actor signs this 3½x5 black and white photo
Photograph Signed: “[first line difficult to decipher]/ T.P. McKenna”. B/w, 3½x5. Thomas Patrick McKenna (1929-2011) was a stage and screen actor. He featured prominently in the Thames Television series Callan (1972), appearing as the character of Richmond. Moreover, McKenna made ten appearances in Crown Court (1974-1982), for the most part playing barrister Patrick Canty. McKenna landed major roles in the films Ulysses (1967), and A Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man (1977). In addition, he appeared in a long list of TV shows, with a handful of his memorable roles coming in The Duchess of Malfi (1972), To the Lighthouse (1983), Bleak House (1985), and the Doctor Who serial The Greatest Show in the Galaxy (1989). McKenna also occasionally directed plays, a few of which include John Millington Synge's The Playboy of the Western World at Nottingham Playhouse in 1968, Thomas Kilroy's The Death and Resurrection of Mr. Roche at Abbey Theatre in 1973, and Seán O'Casey's The Shadow of A Gunman at Crucible Theatre (Sheffield) in 1980.
