Autograph letter signed: "Tatum O'Neal[drawn heart]" 1 page,
6½x8½. September 15, 1981. On personal stationery, in full: "To
Sherry, I am very honored to do this for you--and your girls. Love."
Tatum O'Neal (born in 1963), the daughter of actors Ryan O'Neal and
Joanna Moore, won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Paper
Moon (1973), her debut film at age nine, for her role as Addie Pray
opposite her father. Tatum, who was reunited with her father and Paper
Moon director Peter Bogdanovich for Nickelodeon (1976), also starred
in a number of films, including The Bad News Bears (1976),
International Velvet (1978), Little Darlings (1980) and
The Scoundrel's Wife (2002), on the big screen. In 1993, the year she
signed this photograph, Tatum starred in Woman on the Run: The Lawrencia
Bembenek Story. Between film roles, she made headlines with her stormy
marriage (1986-1992) to tennis star John McEnroe. Lightly creased. Fine
condition.
