Photograph signed: "Martin Scorsese", "Robert/DeNiro". B/w, 8x10. ROBERT DeNIRO (b. 1943), considered by many to be the finest actor of his generation, received Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in The Godfather - Part II (1974) and Best Actor in Raging Bull (1980). He has received three other Oscar nominations to date, for Taxi Driver (as the psychotic title character shown here, 1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), and Cape Fear (1991). Among his many other well remembered films are Bang the Drum Slowly (1973), Goodfellas (1990) and Casino (1995). DeNiro successfully parodied his own tough guy image in Analyze This (1999) and Meet the Parents (2000), and the sequels to both. The most renowned filmmaker of his era, MARTIN SCORSESE (b. 1942) virtually defined the state of modern American cinema during the 1970s and '80s. A consummate storyteller and visual stylist who lived and breathed movies, he won fame translating his passion and energy into a brand of filmmaking that crackled with kinetic excitement. In addition to the numerous awards from the Director's Guild of America, Golden Globes and various Film Festivals and Critics Circles, Scorsese has been nominated for an Academy Award four times for Best Director (Raging Bull, The Last Temptation of Christ, Goodfellas and Gangs of New York) and twice for Best Adapted Screenplay (Goodfellas and The Age of Innocence). He finally won the Oscar for directing The Departed (2006). Fine condition.
