American singer and actor Kenneth Laurence "Kenny" Baker (1912-1985) first gained notice as a tenor on Jack Benny's radio program. Baker, who was replaced by Dennis Day when he left the show in 1939, later became a featured performer on Fred Allen's radio show, Texaco Star Theater (1940-1942). He also appeared in a number of feature films from 1934-1947, including College Rhythm (1934), At the Circus (1939), The Harvey Girls (1946) and Calendar Girl (1947). Additionally, Baker and Mary Martin co-starred in the original Broadway production of One Touch of Venus. Lightly creased at upper left blank corner, 5½-inch diagonal crease touches facial image. Defects from original negative have reproduced at left background. Mounting adhesive remnants on verso (no show through). Overall, fine condition.
