Golfer Ted Kroll (1919-2002) began his 34-year PGA career in 1949,
shortly after he returned from service in WWII, during which Kroll earned
three Purple Hearts. He won eight tournaments: the San Diego
Open and the Insurance City Open (1952); the National Celebrities
Open (1953); the Philadelphia Daily News Open (1955); the Tucson
Open Invitational, the Houston Open and the World Championship of
Golf (1956, the year he topped the money list with $72,836); and, the
Canadian Open (1962). Kroll also played on Ryder Cup teams in
1953, 1955 and 1957. Tiny creases at upper left and lower right corners. Fine
