TED LINDSAY
Shown kissing the Stanley Cup in a victory celebration, signed with his number and Hall
of Fame class
Photograph signed: "Ted Lindsay 7/H.H.O.F. 66". B/w, 8x10. Ted Lindsay (1925-2019) is a
former NHL hockey player for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. A four-time
Stanley Cup winner, he scored over 800 points during his 17-year career and won the Art
Ross Trophy in the 1949-1950 season for scoring 78 points, more than any other player
that year. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966, the first year after his
final season. He was also a rough player, earning him the nickname "Terrible Ted"; the NHL
developed elbowing and kneeing penalties in part because of his aggressive play. Lindsay
also helped to organize the National Hockey League Player's Association with Doug
Harvey of the Montreal Canadiens. Fine condition.
