(ca. 1869-1953) was an American writer who was regularly published in national magazines
throughout the early 20th Century. Her stories were featured in publications like The
Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan, and Good Housekeeping. Three of her novels,
The Tin Soldier, The Dim Lantern, and The Blue Window, were named bestsellers in
the United States. Two of her books were turned into movies. She also wrote the
screenplay for the film Áuntie. Bailey continued to write for decades until her passing in
