9/Ninety-thirty-three", 5x3. Temple Bailey (ca. 1869-1953) wrote 15 novels, three of which
became best sellers: The Tin Soldier (1918), Dim Lantern (1922) and The Blue Window
(1926). Her short stories were published in most of the leading magazines, including both
women's magazines like McCall's, but also general readership publications like the Saturday
Evening Post. She wrote the screenplay for the silent film Auntie (1914). Her sentimental
poem "A Mother's Walk" was very popular and is still often reprinted. Binding holes on left
margin. Heavily toned. Ink note (unknown hand). Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso.
