TERENCE FRISBY
The British playwright pens a short note.
Autograph Note signed: "Dear David,/Best wishes to you from/all of
us. Yours/Terence Frisby", 8¼x3¼. English playwright Terence Frisby (b.
1932) wrote the smash hit comedy There's a Girl in My Soup, which set a
(since broken) record for the longest-running play on London's West end
(1966-1973). The play has had similar success on stages worldwide, and
Frisby won the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award in 1970 for the
screenplay of the Peter Sellers/Goldie Hawn film. His radio play about his
wartime childhood, Just Remember Two Things has become the stage musical
Kisses on a Postcard and now a book by him with the latter title. Also
noteworthy is Frisby's first book, Outrageous Fortune, his shocking
account of his struggles with the British legal system during his his 13-year
divorce and child custody battle. Frisby is also an actor, director and
producer, best known for bringing the award winning South African play Woza
Albert! To London in 1983. Bottom edge irregularly cut. Light surface
creases. Fine condition.
