Sale Price $288.00
TERRY MOORE. Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Jerry/best always/Terry Moore". B/w, 8x10. Actress turned model Terry Moore, born Helen Louella Koford in 1929, entered film in adolescent roles (debuting in 1940 at age 11) and matured into a sexpot actress who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for Come Back Little Sheba (1952). Her film credits include Gaslight (1944), Peyton Place (1957) and My American Cousin (1985), and Moore also appeared in several made-for-TV movies and made guest appearances on a number of TV shows and series (beginning in 1953). She claimed to have been secretly married to Howard Hughes in 1949 and never divorced, a story she recounted in steamy detail in The Beauty and the Billionaire (1984) and The Passions of Howard Hughes (1996). The Hughes estate settled her claim out of court for an undisclosed sum. In 1984 (at the age of 55!), Moore was a centerfold in "Playboy" magazine. Slightly creased at blank margins. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Fine condition.
