THE ACCIDENTAL TOURIST MOVIE CAST
A publicity photograph for the 1988 film, signed by Geena Davis, Jessica Turner, and William Hurt
Photograph signed: "Best wishes/Geena Davis", "Kathleen/Turner", "William Hurt", Color 8x10. Former model GEENA DAVIS (b. 1956) has appeared in three TV series, including the critically praised Geena (2000-2001), but her big successes have been on the large screen. She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for The Accidental Tourist (1988) and was nominated for Best Actress for the feminist crime spree Thelma and Louise (1991). Her other memorable roles have included A League of Their Own (1992) and Stuart Little (1999). JESSICA TURNER (b. 1954) burst onto the movie scene in a star-making blaze when she was cast as femme fatale Matty in the neo-noir thriller Body Heat (1981). Some of her other well known films include The Man with Two Brains (1983), Crimes of Passion (1984), South American adventures starting with Romancing the Stone (1984), Prizzi's Honor (1985), Peggy Sue Got Married (Academy Award nomination, 1986), War of the Roses (1989) and The Virgin Suicides (1999). In 1988, Turner gave a sexy performance as the voice of Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, a role she will reprise in the sequel. WILLIAM HURT (b. 1957) won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1985 for Kiss of the Spider Woman and was nominated for Oscars in the same category for Children of a Lesser God (1986) and Broadcast News (1987). Hurt, who made his debut in 1980 in Altered States, became a star and sex symbol with his next film, Body Heat (1981), opposite Kathleen Turner. His other film credits include The Accidental Tourist (1988), Lost in Space (1998), A.I.: Artificial Intelligence (2001) and Tuck Everlasting (2002), and Hurt has also appeared in made-for-TV movies and was nominated for a Tony Award for Hurlyburly (1985).
