THE ALPHABET MURDERS MOVIE CAST
A publicity photograph of the 1965 film signed by Tony Randall and Robert Morley
Photograph signed: "Tony/Randall", "Robert Morley", B/w 10x8¼. TONY RANDALL (1920-2004) was an accomplished radio and stage actor from the late 1940s. From the late 1950s, he starred in successful film comedies, including Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter (1957), Pillow Talk (1959) and Lover Come Back (1961). Perhaps best remembered as Felix Unger in the TV version of The Odd Couple (1969-1974), other TV roles included The Tony Randall Show (1976) and the Emmy-winning Dear Sydney (1981-1982). Sometimes in trouble with the networks for his outspoken politics, he was also in demand for quiz shows because of his encyclopedic knowledge of trivia. Chubby English character actor ROBERT MORLEY (1908-1992), often cast as a villain or comic figure was a popular talk show guest and an advertising spokesman for British Airways. Long before, he had earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Marie Antoinette (1938). His many other films included The African Queen (1951) and Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? (1978). Film critic Leonard Maltin called Morley "particularly effective when cast as a pompous villain." Corners lightly worn and creased. Slightly toned. Lightly bowed. Otherwise, fine condition.
