Compact disc case signed "Eric Burdon" in silver ink. 5½ x 4 ¾ jewel
case with 4¾ diameter unsigned CD. This is a signed copy of the a 1987 "Best
Of" album entitled The Best of the Animals. It includes their 1964
cover of the American folk song House of the Rising Sun, which topped the
UK Singles Charts and the Billboard Hot 100 in America. Burdon, born
in 1941, is an English singerwho fronted the English band the Animals
in both of their incarnations (1962-1966 and 1962-1968), as well as for the
reunion albums Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted (1977) and Ark
(1983). The Animals were one of the most important bands of the British
Invasion of the 1960's. He has led a number of groups called the Eric Burdon
Band since 1971 and joined up briefly with the band War to release the album
Eric Burdon Declares "War" and a two-disc set, The Black Man's
Burdon. He has also toured with a new set of musicians as Eric Burdon and
the Animals. Fine condition.
