Photo by Paul Natkin and Starfile. Fold-out photo from Rock-Out! magazine with full-length photo of Jon Bon Jovi on verso. Moving from a scruffy garage band sound in 1981 to catchy, polished pop by 1984, The Bangles were an all-girl band that played their own instruments and sang their own songs - then a rarity in the rarefied air of Top Ten-charting bands. The group consisted of sisters DEBBI PETERSON (drums) and VICKI PETERSON (guitar), SUSANNA HOFFS (vocals and guitar) and Annette Zilinskas (bass), with MICHAEL STEELE replacing Zilinskas before their pop phase. They went on a brief but memorable tear between 1986 and 1989, landing five singles inside the Billboard Top Ten - including Hazy Shade of Winter, recorded for the soundtrack to Less Than Zero (1987) and which peaked at No. 2, and the chart-toppers Walk Like an Egyptian (1986) and Eternal Flame (1989) - before artistic differences broke up the band. The Bangles reunited in 2000. Lightly creased. Neatly torn from magazine at right edge. Printing errors in photo. Comes folded thrice. Otherwise in fine condition.
