RINGO STARR This porcelain figure of The Beatles drummer is signed in black ink Ephemera Signed: "Ringo [drawing of a star]". Approximately 9½ inches high, 6 inches wide, 3½ inches deep. Gartlan USA issued this figurine in 1996. Included is the original Certificate of Authenticity issued by Gartlan USA, numbered 912 of a limited edition of 1,000. Cast from the original artwork by Joe Hoffman, based on the image of Ringo on the cover of the Beatles' Abbey Road (1969) album. The figure was produced using the trademarked "crystalline cold cast" technique. Ringo Starr (b. 1940) replaced Pete Best as the Beatles' drummer in August 1962, remaining with the Beatles until their breakup in 1970. He had some solo hits in the early 1970s, including "Photograph" and "You're Sixteen". Starr made a comeback with his All-Starr Band in the 1990s. The Beatles will go down in history as one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time. Before they broke up in 1970, the band released some of the greatest albums of all time, including three albums certified Diamond (at least 10x Platinum) by the RIAA: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The Beatles (also known as The White Album, released in 1968), and Abbey Road (1969). Starr sang lead vocals on a few of the band's most popular songs, including "With a Little Help from My Friends" (1967) and "Yellow Submarine" (1966). Fine condition.  Previously authenticated by PSA/DNA.
