THE BELLAMY BROTHERS: DAVID and HOWARD BELLAMY
Color publicity photograph of The Bellamy Brothers, David and Howard sitting in chairs on the beach
Photograph Inscribed and Signed: "To/Buddy/David/Bellamy" and "Howard/Bellamy". Color 8x10. The Bellamy Brothers - David (born 1950) and Howard (born 1946) - learned how to play multiple instruments as children. Influenced by country, rock and calypso music, they first performed for a benefit concert in 1968 at the Rattlesnake Roundup. Their first hit "Let Your Love Flow" (1976) hit No. 1 on the pop charts. "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold it Against Me" made No. 1 on the country charts and "Song of the Year" for all of the United Kingdom in 1979. Since then, they have been consistently successful transitioning between country, pop, and rock. Over 50 albums later, the band is still going strong. In recent years, the music duo has maintained a relationship with Swiss rock musician Gola, who they released Marmaid Cowgirl with in 2014. Fine condition.
