Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role as Sarah Cooper, whose marriage to
Harold (Kline) gets back on track after the couple attends a reunion of their friends at the
funeral of their friend, Alex, a victim of suicide. The film, whose ensemble cast included Jeff
Goldblum, William Hurt, JoBeth Williams, Tom Berenger, Mary Kay Place and Meg Tilly,
was also nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.

of his generation, KEVIN KLINE has made a name for himself on the stage and screen. He
made his film debut in 1982's Sophie's Choice, an inarguably auspicious beginning. The
following year, Kline again struck gold, starring in The Big Chill. Some of his other high
profile roles include A Fish Called Wanda (1988, Best Supporting Actor Oscar), Soapdish
(1991), Chaplin (1992), Dave (1993), In and Out (1997) and The Ice Storm (1998).
GLENN CLOSE, one of Hollywood's most celebrated actresses, has been nominated for
Oscars five times (The World According to Garp, 1982; The Big Chill, 1983; The Natural,
1984; Fatal Attraction, 1987 and Dangerous Liaisons, 1988). She has also found great
success in various television and stage productions, most notably the Broadway musical
version of Sunset Boulevard and in the acclaimed 1991 made-for-TV movie Sarah, Plain and
Tall, which was successful enough to have two sequels. Creased at corners and blank margins.
