Best known early in his career for playing “troubled teen” characters, actor MATT DILLON (b. 1964) made his film debut in Over the Edge (1979), followed by such other youth-oriented outings as Tex (1982), The Outsiders (1983), and Rumble Fish (1983). He made his first adult action film, Target, in 1985, and followed this success with such films as Drugstore Cowboy (1989), Crash (2004), and Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) in addition to There's Something About Mary, which co-starred Cameron Diaz, whom Dillon dated during the late 1990s. Dillon has also written and directed a feature film (City of Ghosts, 2002) and directed an episode of the TV series, Oz (1999), and he has been seen on a number of TV talk shows, from The Late Show With David Letterman in 1993 to The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005. After turning down a role in the Broadway play Runways, DIANE LANE (b. 1965) drew critical acclaim for her first screen appearance at age thirteen in A Little Romance (1979). She had her first break out roll as an adult actress in the 1982 film The Outsiders. Among her noteworthy film credits are Rumble Fish (1983), the TV miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989), A Walk on the Moon (1999), The Perfect Storm (2000), and Unfaithful (2002), which gained her an Oscar nomination. In 2003, she was named ShoWest's Female Star of the Year. Lane has been involved with several charities that focus on world hunger as well as Artists for Peace and Justice. Bowed.
