Signed on verso of an envelope front from the Hotel Commodore in New York City. Postmarked New York City, May 31, 1947. Addressed to Mr. Mac Reisel at Reisel's Drug Store, Gloversville, New York. This envelope is signed by eight members of the 1947 Boston Braves, including manager and Hall of Fame inductee BILLY SOUTHWORTH (1893-1969), 1947 National League MVP BOB ELLIOTT (1916-1966) and All Stars JOHNNY SAIN (1917-2006) and DANNY LITWHILER (1916-2011), along with SI JOHNSON (1906-1994), JOHN BEAZLEY (1918-1990), BAMA ROWELL (1916-1993) and ED WRIGHT (1919-1995). The Braves finished third in the NL in 1947 with a 86-68 record. Lightly toned, stained, soiled and creased. Random lead pencil and black ink marks. Irregular edges. Missing top right and both bottom corners. Folded numerous times vertically and horizontally and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
