man RICHARD TODD, born in 1919, found his greatest acclaim in roles in
which he played a Scot. In 1949, he received Best Actor Academy Award and
Golden Globe nominations for his role as Corporal Lachlan "Lachie" Mac Lachan in
The Hasty Heart, which also starred Ronald Reagan, and in 1955, he
portrayed U.S. Senate Chaplain Peter Marshall in A Man Called Peter. A
founding member of the Dundee Repertory Theatre of Scotland, Todd returned to
the stage between his films, which included the WWII dramas Operation Cross
Bow (1955), D-Day, The Sixth of June (1956), The Long and the
Short and The Tall (1961) and The Longest Day (1962). Todd also
appeared in The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1953), The
Virgin Queen (with Bette Davis in the role of Queen Elizabeth, 1955), The
Secret of Dorian Gray (1970) and The Big Sleep (1978); and in
television dramas. Australian actress ANNETTE ANDRE was born on June 24, 1939
in Sydney, Australia. She appeared in films and television series for
nearly thirty years, most notably Stormy Petrel (1960), A Funny
Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966), My Partner the Ghost
(1969-1970) and Taurus Rising (1982). Other credits include
Whiplash (1961), The Mill on the Floss (1965), The Saint
(1964-1968), The Brothers (1972) and Prisoner (1984). English
actor ERIC LANDER (1924-1999) was born in Rugby, England. He appeared in
over 45 films and television series between 1955 and 1976, most notably as
Harry Baxter in the long running English television series No Hiding
Place (1959-1967). Lightly worn. Slightly creased. Otherwise, fine
condition.
