2001". The World Premiere of the documentary Investigation of a Flame
was held at the Senator Theatre on May 3, 2001. Fine condition. The film tells
the story of nine Vietnam War protesters who went to the Selective Service
Office in Catonsville, Maryland, took draft files outside and burned them. They
were arrested for violating federal laws and were sentenced to as many as three
years in prison. The "Catonsville Nine" included DAN BERRIGAN, PHILIP
BERRIGAN (1923-2002), TOM LEWIS, MARJORIE MELVILLE, TOM MELVILLE and
GEORGE MISCHE. BILL O'CONNOR was a member of the Catonsville Nine support
group. JOHN AGAR (1921-2002), Shirley Temple's first husband (1945-1950),
starred in numerous Westerns, Sci-Fi and Horror films in the 1950s and 1960s.
Included is a ticket stub from the May 5, 2001 showing of
Investigation of a Flame and a "Baltimore Sun" article about the
documentary. Ticket is fine, minor tear at upper fold of newspaper, else fine.
