Baseball signed by manager Dusty Baker and four members of the 2004 roster including Kerry Wood, a Rookie of the Year and All-Star
Baseball signed "Dusty Baker" in the sweet spot, "Jason DuBois", "Sergio Mitre", "Kerry Wood", "Kyle Farnsworth" and one unidentified signature, all in blue ink. Rawlings Official Major League Baseball with Allan H. Selig facsimile signature. These players were all with Baker when he managed the Chicago Cubs from 2003 to 2006 and were all part of the 2004 roster. BAKER, born in 1949, played 19 Major League seasons (1968-1986), mostly with the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. A Gold Glove-winning outfielder (1981) and two-time All-Star, Baker could hit for average and power and steal an occasional base. Since leaving the field he has managed the San Francisco Giants (1992-2002) and Chicago Cubs (2003-2006). While with the Giants he earned NL Manager of the Year honors three times and fell only one game short of a World Championship in 2002. WOOD, born in 1977, has been a pitcher with the Cubs since 1998, when he was Rookie of the Year, and was a member of the National League's 2003 All-Star Team. He has a career ERA of 3.67 with 72 wins and 5 shutouts, and he led the National League in strikeouts, with 266, in 2003. FARNSWORTH, born in 1976, has been a major league pitcher since 1997 and spent his first six years with the Cubs. He has a career ERA of 4.47. He had his best ERA of 2.19 in 2005, his first year after leaving the Cubs and pitching for the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves. He's averaged 79 strikeouts a season, tallying a career-high 107 Ks in 2001, and claimed a shutout during his rookie year in the pros. MITRE, born in 1981, has been a major league pitcher since 2003 and played his first three seasons with the Cubs before moving to the Florida Marlins. He has a career ERA of 5.36 with 10 wins, 1 shutout and an average of 98 strikeouts in the regular season. DUBOIS, born in 1979, played major league ball from 2004 to 2005, most of those with the Cubs. He had a career batting average of .233 with 49 hits and 10 home runs. Lightly toned, otherwise in fine condition.
