Inscribed printed photograph signed: "To Irene", "John", "Jerry", "Gary", "Steve", "Follow your Dreams", in gold felt tip, Color 10x8. The Diamonds, from Ontario, Canada, were one of the most popular quartets of early rock 'n' roll. Signing with Mercury Records in 1955, they made the charts with covers of R&B tunes, "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?" and "Little Darlin'". Then they started a dance craze with an original song of their own, "The Stroll." This lineup consists of: JOHN FELTEN was one of the replacements brought on in the 1950's; JERRY HONEYCUTT performed alongside Felten until his death; STEVE SMITH, previously of Lawrence Welk Show fame; and GARY CECH. Although the Diamonds broke up in 1961, they were popular features on oldies tours in later years. The Diamonds are enshrined in several halls of fame, including the Canadian, Vocal Group and Doo-Wop halls. Slightly toned. Fine condition.
