ROSE MARIE (born Rose Marie Mazetta in 1923-2017) had two careers - first as "Baby Rose Marie", appearing on stage at the age of three and soon becoming a vaudeville and NBC radio star, and later as a comedienne and actress who appeared on stages from Broadway to Las Vegas and on both the big and small screen. Rose Marie is best known for her role as wisecracking Sally Rogers on The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966), but she also starred in several other series, including My Sister Eileen (1960-1961) and The Doris Day Show (1969-1971) and the popular game show, Hollywood Squares. She made her film debut in 1933's International House and then appeared in 1954's Top Banana, reprising her role from the 1953 Broadway musical that co-starred Phil Silvers. Her other credits include Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round (1966), Cheaper to Keep Her (1980) and Ghettoblaster (1989), and made numerous TV guest appearances. SID MELTON (1920-2011) wasbest known for his roles in the television series Green Acres and The Danny Thomas Show. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he is the brother of screenwriter Louis Meltzer. Some of his early acting includes appearances in the films The Shadow of the Thin Man (1941), Blondie Goes to College (1942), Treasure of Monte Cristo (1949), On the Town (1949) and The Geisha Boy (1958). He appeared in two Lippert pictures films Lost Continent (1951) and Radar Secret Service (1950) which were later featured in Mystery Science Theater 3000, the host nicknamed Melton "Monkey Boy". Later in his career he had several roles in television series including The Golden Girls, Captain Midnight, Dragnet, Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., I Dream of Jeannie and in this 1964 episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show titled "Romance, Roses & Rye Bread." Here he played lonely deli owner Bert Monker, who romanced Rose Marie's "Sally Rogers." The Dick Van Dyke Show, which also featured Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Carl Reiner and Morey Amsterdam, was a popular CBS sitcom, running from 1961 to 1966. Fine condition.
