Guard, approximately 11x9 overall. A talented guitarist who performed in the
studio with a long list of music stars, Jeff Baxter joined Steely Dan for
the rock group's debut album, Can't Buy a Thrill (1974). In 1976, he
joined the Doobie Brothers, performing on some of their most successful
albums, including What Were Once Vices are Now Habits and Takin' It to
the Streets. Baxter refuses to discuss the origin of his nickname, "Skunk".
A staunch Republican knowledgeable on military systems, Baxter was hired by
the Bush administration as a defense consultant in 2001. He has appeared on
CNN and Fox News as a spokesman for Americans for Missile Defense. Minor
surface scratches and smudges, else fine condition.
